Help raise funds for Rosehaven Retirement Village in Sandton
FOURWAYS – Good Vibrations and Conversations present an afternoon with top musicians, such as Michael Riff Themba, and speakers to raise funds for the Rosehaven Retirement Village.
Good Vibrations and Conversations will present an inspirational afternoon with top musicians and speakers, an American auction and some fun with renowned performer Craig Urbani at CityLife Centre, Capricorn Road in Lonehill.
This initiative will be held on 20 May to raise funds for the Rosehaven Retirement Village and will aid them in their basic everyday needs.
There will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear the true story of Yolande and Pierre Korkie who were captured and held hostage by Al Qaeda in Yemen. Yolande was released after life-threatening negotiations by Gift of the Givers in 2014 while Pierre was killed by Al Qaeda.
Carolyn Steyn, founder of 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day, will explain how she was challenged by Zelda la Grange, the late President Nelson Mandela’s personal assistant, to crochet 67 blankets for the poor.
She realised she could not meet this challenge and she posted her request for blankets on Facebook.

Steyn will share how the initiative has grown into a global phenomenon, and how people in prison are ‘knitting their broken lives together’ through her partnership with the Minister of Correctional Services, Michael Masutha.
Eddie Eckstein, Cherry Pill, Kristal, LeAnne Dlamini (Strictly Come Dancing) and Michael Riff Themba will also be performing at this inspiring day.
