Woman allegedly threatened with firearm in road rage incident

A woman was allegedly a victim in a road rage incident on 26 April at 3:30pm on Kelvin Drive heading towards Morningside. A man who appeared to be in his early 30s, in a black vehicle, lost his temper and in his moment of rage allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened her.

The incident occurred whilst the woman’s children were in the vehicle. The female involved was able to take photos of the man.

The woman has subsequently been to the Sandton Police Station and has opened a case against him.

The man who was involved in the road rage incident has come forward on social media and said that the woman pulled out of East Road and onto South and came extremely close to smashing into his vehicle.

He said he had his son in the car and was very shaken up about the near accident.

He said he had his phone in his hand and took two photos of the woman and her vehicle. He asked the woman why she was driving so erratically and took a photo of her licence plate. He alleged that it was not a gun but his cellphone that she saw.
