Hats off to a good cause by Sandton Schools

SANDTON – Schoolchildren and parents show their creative side for a good cause.

Schoolchildren from Sandhurst Pre- and Preparatory College Sandton celebrated a crazy hair and hat day on 12 April.

Parents were asked to join in the fun by providing a helping hand in making the children’s crazy hat creations.

The children donated R5 donation, with all proceeds donated to the outreach programme, The Village orphanage.

On the final day of the school term, the youngsters paraded their whacky hats in front of the school.

The Village orphanage is a cluster foster care facility for orphaned, vulnerable and abused children and their aim is to offer love and to place young adults back into society.

Deputy head of the college, Angie Jennison said, “It was all about being silly and having fun while donating funds for a good cause. The children had a great day.”
