Hair today, gone tomorrow for Cansa

Brescia House School hosted a Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) Shavathon with schoolgirls bravely cutting off their long locks for a good cause.

Julia Dedering, Emily Burger, Esha Parbhoo, Stephanie Black and Helga Bishop cut off their hair in support of Cancer sufferers.

Esha Parbhoo, in Grade 8, shaved her head while Emily Burger in Grade 8 and Julia Dedering in Grade 10 both cut their long hair short.

Staff members Stephanie Black and Helga Bishop also participated in the charity event and cut their hair.

The schoolgirls wore multi-coloured ribbons in their hair and the school raised more than R15 000 for Cansa.
