Michael Mount Waldorf School emerged the victors in the St John’s College Invitational Basketball Tournament.
This is the biggest inter-schools basketball tournament on the calendar attracting teams from all over South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Swaziland.
Twenty-eight U19 boys’ teams were in action over four days, starting with cross-pool playoffs, followed by plate and cup matches. In the cup final, Michael Mount beat Escola Secundaria Nelson Mandela from Mozambique 61–45.

Michael Mount’s Markus Geldenhuys was awarded Most Valuable Player and Aviwe Mahlong was selected for the All Star team.
