Schoolchildren from Junior Colleges Sunninghill had fun with Valentine’s Day preparations on 10 February.
The school’s corridor and walls were decorated with big colourful hearts creatively made by the children. This activity not only got everyone excited about Valentine’s Day, but also helped with gross motor development.

Drawing in large scale encourages children to use their gross motor skills as they make use of their whole bodies. Everyone was very excited to see the beautiful artwork on display around the school.
“Sunninghill is definitely ready to celebrate the month of love through friendship, giggles and plenty of glitter,” said Laverne Machiridza, principal of Junior College Fourways.
