Hyde Park High School recently welcomed the new Grade 8s to the school.
Their faces were filled with anticipation before entering the school hall for the first time to attend their first assembly and to find out which classes they were going to be in.
It did not take long for them to all settle into their routine and they were partnered with a mentoring matric pupil who would guide them if they ever need assistance.

The new Grade 8s enjoyed an exciting week of team-building activities and making new friends.
The week culminated with their Grade 8 gala and orientation afternoon.
Manolis Vogiatzis, the headmaster of the school, assured the new school-goers that their time at Hyde Park High School would be one in which they would thrive.
