City’s centres will stay open

JOBURG – Customer Service Centres will stay open this festive season.

The City of Johannesburg’s walk-in customer service centres will remain open and operate as normal during the festive season.

City spokesperson, Kgamanyane Maphologela, said the centres will continue to serve customers during the normal operating hours and only close on public holidays, including 27 December.

Maphologela said as part of the City’s 10 Point Plan of being a responsive government, the City will, from next year February, progressively extend operating hours. According to him, the extending of operating hours will improve efficiency and customer service for the more than 38 000 customers. “We have listened to our customers and the extension of the operating hours is aligned to the needs of our customers,” he said.

The Thuso House walk-in customer service centre will open from 7.30am to 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Other main centres will also open each Saturday from 7.30am to 12.30pm.
