Mini astro opening

JOHANNESBURG – Brescia House School recently opened a mini astro for primary school matches.

The official opening and blessing of the Brescia House School Jubilee Astro took place and is the first blue, water-based mini astro in South Africa.

The guests were treated to a five-a-side hockey game with Brescia House School’s first team players alongside some Proteas men hockey players including Tommy Hammond, David Viney, Ricky West, Scott Melville and Ross Gonsalves.

The Grade 3 hockey girls also tried out the pitch and had their photographs taken with the Proteas players.

The mini astro will be used for primary school hockey matches, U9 mini hockey matches and for senior five-a-side games and training sessions.
