BREAKING NEWS: EFF says there is no coalition
ALEXANDRA - The Economic Freedom Fighters says there is no coalition with any political party but will vote with the opposition parties.
The Economic Freedom Fighters held a press conference in Alexandra on 17 August where they discussed the outcome of numerous talks about possible coalitions.
This after the recent Local Municipal Elections. The party announced that there will be no coalitions formed between them and the Democratic Alliance in any of the hung municipalities.
Leader of the party, Julius Malema, said that the first party they met with during the coalition talks was the African National Congress who they tabled their demands to.
He added that their demands included the removal of President Jacob Zuma, nationalisation and land expropriation, but the ANC refused to meet any of their demands.
He said that the party also met with the Democratic Alliance but did not reach an agreement, adding that they will vote with the DA because they are the ‘better devil’.
