Something constructive for Mandela Day

SANDTON - ABV Construction talks entrepreneurship with Zandpsruit locals.

ABV Construction looks to celebrate Mandela Day with Grade 10, 11 and 12 pupils from all walks of life.

Annually, South Africans commemorate Mandela Day by devoting 67 minutes of their time towards a worthy cause. This year the team at ABV, in partnership with METIME, has decided to devote 67 minutes of their time helping pupils to prepare for what may be the next 67 years of their lives.

On 18 July, ABV Construction and METIME will hold a forum in Emthonjeni Community Centre in Zandspruit where parents are encouraged to bring their children to learn more about entrepreneurship.

“We believe the future of this country rests in the hands of the youth and, therefore, we have to channel our energies and efforts towards ensuring the decisions they make are well informed,” said marketing and public relations officer of ABV Construction, Alicia Mvokwe.

ABV is a maintenance, renovation and construction company in Sandton which offers its services to townhouses and complexes.

Ian Wright, marketing consultant at METIME added, “We call upon all organisations, individuals and media to join the Mandela Day initiative, as we dedicate our 67 minutes to assist our future talent make informed decision on their next 67 years. At METIME, we believe there are not enough jobs in the world, however, there is enough work and we need to get the youth to start looking towards empowering themselves.”
