Knit for charity at Field and Study Market

PARKMORE – Knit for charity at the Field and Study Market in Parkmore for Mandela Day.

The Field and Study Market will be held on 16 July and will host a ‘Knitting in the Park’ for Mandela Day.

Market organiser, Handri Coolen said the event is for all community members, whether they are experienced knitters or beginners, and it will be a good way for residents to give back to charity.

Coolen added that the event led by members of Little Pine Tree, a group which knits for charity, will also give attendees lessons in crocheting and knitting.

The initiative will support the Choose to Care campaign.

The monthly market will host a great deal of other activities for children including a large jungle gym and free activities and toys for the children to play with. Adults will be able to shop and relax under the shade of the trees with food and drinks along the Braamfontein Spruit.
