RIVONIA - The Rivonia Library offers a variety of free services to the public.

Margaret Houliston, library and information services manager for Region E, would like to welcome residents living in the Rivonia area to make use of Rivonia Library’s various services.

“The library has a separate section for adults and children, and the library receives two daily newspapers. We also provide a children’s story hour on Thursdays from 3.00pm,” said Houliston.

Each library has their own Friends of the Library, voluntary groups that raise additional funds for the library.

The Rivonia Library is located on the corner of Rivonia Boulevard and 10th Avenue.

The library hours are, Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm; Wednesday from 1pm to 5pm; Friday from 9am to 1pm; and Saturday from 9am to 1pm.

There is a children’s story hour on Thursdays at 3pm.

During the colder months of May, June, July and August, Johannesburg public libraries which usually close at 6pm, will close at 5.30pm.
