A pastor at Rivers Church in Morningside has been accused of racism following a sermon given on 26 June in which he allegedly said black people were lazy and that white people did not take anything from them.
Pastor, Andre Olivier, allegedly gave a sermon stating that he does not understand why people want white people to leave the country. According to reports he said that they shouldn’t leave the country because they contributed to the country.
It is reported, by a caller on Radio 702 who attended the sermon that he said White people have money because they worked for it.
Many people have taken to various social media platform to criticize Pastor Olivier for his comments, deeming them racist and insensitive.
