Hyde Park High calling for donations

SANDTON – Hyde Park High School's pupils and teachers are gathering wool donations for charity.

Hyde Park High School is calling for wool donations from the local community for their blanket drive.

Spokesperson for the school Avril wright said, “Hyde Park High School pupils and staff are frantically collecting, knitting, crocheting and packing an assortment of baby blankets, baby hats and baby jerseys for needy new mothers.

“These items are beautifully assembled into gift packs which will, hopefully, give joy to those mothers who have nothing for their newborn babies.”

It is a project that the school has been involved in for several years, with invaluable support from all staff who get involved in sourcing wool, providing the necessary needles and delivering the parcels.

Wool donations can be dropped off during school hours.
