Brescia House donates teddy bears

BRYANSTON - Brescia House embarks on a teddy bear knitting project.

Every year, the pupils of Brescia House and their parents and grandparents, embark on a teddy bear knitting project, and this year was no different.

The bears are made in all shapes and sizes – each with its own special personality.

The teddies are donated to the Teddy Bear Clinic for Abused Children, Childline and the Randburg Child Trauma Unit, and this year, Brescia House will donate 525 of them.

“We are so thankful to the Brescia House families who contributed towards this project,” said Liz Norman, head of counselling and community outreach at Brescia House.

“We know that each and every teddy is going to be greatly loved by the child who receives it.”

Special mention goes to the Biscarini family who knitted 120 teddy bears.
