Bramley police nab suspect for stabbing incident in Marlboro

MARLBORO - Two men arrested for stabbing a man with a bottle in Marlboro.

Two Marlboro residents were arrested by Bramley police officers for a brutal stabbing incident in Marlboro where the accused stabbed a man who was sleeping over at his friend’s house.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley Police Station, explained that while the complainant was sleeping, two men entered the bedroom and demanded to know the whereabouts of his friend.

“Before the complainant could respond, one of the suspects grabbed a beer bottle and proceeded to stab him, resulting in the victim sustaining major injuries to his head,” Maphakela said.

The matter was then reported to the police who arrested both men and detained them at Bramley Police Station.

“The two men have since been charged with assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and have since appeared in Alexandra Magistrates’ Court to face their charges,” he said.
