WATCH: Taxi overturns on M1 North
ATHOL OAKLANDS – Fifteen people were injured when a taxi overturned on the M1 North near Glenhove Road at 6am on 17 May.
At least fifteen people sustained minor to moderate injuries after a taxi rolled on the M1 North, near Athol Oaklands.
Athlenda Mathe, media liaison offer for Netcare911 stated that reports indicate that the taxi rolled numerous times.
Netcare911 paramedics, as well as paramedics from various others services were on scene to stabilise the injured passengers, who sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The injured passengers were then transported to various nearby nearby to receive further medical care.
There is heavy traffic on both sides of the M1 and motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible.

Accident is before the Corlett Drive on ramp. Taxi is on its roof & the highway closed to one lane. Avoid the M1 north & south this morning
