A woman has opened up a case of assault after being attacked by her friends.
The complainant alleges that on 24 April at about 10pm she and two female friends were walking to 14th Avenue in Alexandra.
One of her friends then started accusing the complainant of having an affair with her boyfriend. The complainant denied the allegation and shrugged it off as a joke.
However, her friends became aggressive and started assaulting the woman with beer bottles. The victim sustained bruises to her face and chest, as well as abrasions across her upper torso.
The suspects were arrested and detained at Bramley Police Station.
