JOHANNESBURG - The Explorer's Chat Group meets on the third Friday morning of each month.
The Explorer’s Chat Group celebrated their first birthday at Lifestyle Garden Centre on Friday, 15 April with a walk-through of the 2016 student gardens of the Lifestyle Landscaping School, guided by Lifestyle PRO, Pam Groen.
After a fascinating talk on growing mushrooms, the group enjoyed a delicious tea and chat.
Over the year, this friendship group has enjoyed talks by notably good speakers on Garden Birds, Guide dogs for the Blind, Growing Succulents, Doctors Without Borders, Siberian Forest Cats, 67 Blankets, the South African Depression and Anxiety Group SADAG, Making Costume Jewelry, Chalk Painting, Reflexology, Summer Salads, Armchair Travel ,Vulture Conservation, Polatis and the Choice to Stay Healthy. They have also hosted renowned Botanist, Elsa Pooley
This Bryanston-based Multi-interest group meets on the third Friday morning of each month at various venues, to explore subjects on Conservation, Gardening, Social Issues, Art, Health, Food and Travel. They provide a platform for speakers to express their views and share their knowledge and for friends to gather and meet new friends. The group is in the process of adopting a charitable cause to provide support to.
Next month, they will explore the workings of the local Spar shops and the Spar Group. Visitors to a meeting are always welcome .
