19 injured in Rivonia taxi crash
RIVONIA - 19 people were injured when a taxi and car collided on the N1 highway, near the Rivonia offramp on the morning of 25 February.
According to ER24, when paramedics and other emergency services arrived on scene they found a taxi lying on its side, at the side of the road while the car was parked in the slow lane.
On assessment paramedics found that 19 people had been injured in the accident.
Patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. Fortunately no fatalities were reported on scene.
Patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further medical attention.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene to conduct further investigations.
