Bryanston Library hosts great sale

BRYANSTON - After an amazing response from local residents who donated a plethora of high-quality books during the festive season, the Friends of the Bryanston Library hosted a successful book sale on 6 February.

From classic fiction to gardening guides, intriguing history titles to children’s picture books, the variety of books on sale captivated both young and old readers.

Member of the Friends of the Bryanston Library, Karen Corbett said, “We had an amazing response from residents, some who were interested in the books and others who wanted to join the Friends of the Bryanston Library.”

Chairperson of the organisation, Juliet Manning, said the organisation had a great response from the community at the sale with a great rush for books in the morning. She added that the money made from the sale will benefit the library greatly.

Manning added that the organisation will host another sale on 5 March and invites all residents to donate books and attend the next sale as well.

Corbett concluded, “We are so appreciative of all the support from the local community who are helping the library and supporting reading.”
