WATCH OUT: Alleged driveway hijacking in Parkmore

PARKMORE – An alleged driveway hijacking incident took place outside a home in Parkmore.

This according to Kate Wardle, deputy chairperson of the Parkmore Community Association, who said valuables were apparently taken during the incident.

“There are not many details on the criminals’ vehicle, apart from their dark blue car with a scratch on the side,” explained Wardle. She added that it was suspected that the victim was followed home after shopping at the Pick n Pay along William Nicol Drive going towards Bryanston.

“Please remain alert,” she advised other residents in the area.

Wardle said the police were on the scene after the alleged incident took place.

More information will be made public as soon as it is available.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Sandton police said he’d follow up on the alleged case.
