The resident, Amanda Murray, reported the water leak to Joburg Water and later escalated the matter to the Johannesburg Roads Agency when the flowing water caused potholes on the road to get bigger on Sanda Lane and West Road.
“The potholes were eventually fixed after much weeping and wailing,” said Murray. However, the water leak continues.
She added, “The same leak has returned and, despite the correspondence and undertakings to escalate the matter, nothing has transpired, as usual. The water is again flowing down the road constantly.”
Ward 103 councillor, Vincent Earp said this was the result of poor service delivery.
No comment was received from Joburg Water by the time of publication.
