Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson of Sandton police, said police officers were given a registration plate number and were informed to look out for a white Isuzu bakkie which had been stolen in Mpumalanga.
“They found the car with no one inside and while they were organising fingerprints and a tow truck for the bakkie, the suspect approached the car and opened the driver’s door,” explained Maphakela.
He said the suspect was arrested on the spot and detained at Sandton Police Station and will appear in court soon.
