Hyde Park High School impressed in their IEB exams.

JOBURG - The top student for the school was pupil Caitlin Govender who obtained eight distinctions in total. A talented all-rounder and dux scholar Caitlin also participated in the chess and music clubs.

Spokesperson for the school Avril Wright said, “Caitlin Govender was a senior councillor at Hyde Park High School. Her plans for 2016 are to study either Chemical Engineering or Genetics.  She commented that she had an exceptional education at Hyde Park High with the benefit of her teachers who put every effort into ensuring that she got the best education possible.”

Mr Manolis Vogiatzis said she will go far in her future choice of career with her quiet, friendly and caring disposition.

Anra Chen achieved a commendable six distinctions in her exams. Wright said, “Anran Chen joined Hyde Park in his Grade 10 year and flourished under the tutorship of his teachers.  Anran has high goals for himself and is planning to do Electro Mechanical Engineering at UCT next year.  He has already set his sights on his graduation of this degree and intends to follow on with a post graduate degree abroad.”

Kenan Karavousanos, Marc Karp and Hannah de Bruyn all achieve five distinctions while Douglas Bailey, Sashin Hemrajh, Alseka Winetski obtained 4 distinctions.
