Brescia House School matriculants achieve phenomenal results

JOBURG - Brescia House School matriculants achieved phenomenal results in their recent IEB exams.

In a letter of inspiration head girl for the school Dibueng Bosman gave special thanks to the teachers and parents involved in the pupils’ success. She added, ““Brescia House School is not a destination, but a journey”- Matrics of 2015, it has been an unforgettable journey. Once again, thank you.

The school achieved impressive results in their exams with a 100 percent pass rate and 100 percent university pass rate which marketing manager for the school Helga Bishop described as an “outstanding achievement”.

Bishop added that 98 distinctions were achieved amongst the 40 pupils and almost 25 percent of the candidates achieve five distinctions or more.

The top achievers for Brescia House School were Alice Drozdov, Emma de Kock, Natasha Mostert and Louise Stride who achieved six distinctions in various subjects.

Drozdov excelled in Accounting, Afrikaans, Advanced Mathematics, English, Information Technology, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physical Sciences. Bishop said, “Alice’s exceptional academic ability and work ethic have led to awards throughout her high school career and she was awarded full academic honours in 2014 and 2015.”

Described hard-working student Emma de Kock earned distinctions in Accounting, Afrikaans, Advanced Mathematics, English, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physical Sciences. She has been known to receive consistently high result throughout her high school career.

Natasha Mostert achieved distinctions Afrikaans, Advanced Mathematics, English, Geography, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Sciences. She was also in the top 1% of IEB candidates for Geography.

Louis Stride obtained phenomenal results with six distinctions in Accounting, Afrikaans, Advanced Mathematics, English, Information Technology, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Sciences.

The school also Tenille Greer, Alexandra McCann, Micaela Ryder, Lauren Wakefield and Sarah Young obtaining five distinctions in their respective subjects. McCann and Ryder were placed in the top 1% for IEB in Consumer Studies while Young places in the top 1% for Life Sciences.
