Employee, accomplice bust red-handed breaking in

KRAMERVILLE – An employee at a Sandton-based business was recently arrested for his involvement in an attempted business robbery incident at his place of employment.

 

The suspect was arrested along with an accomplice in Kramerville when, according to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson of Sandton police, the two suspects were allegedly caught during the incident.

“According to the complainant, a security guard employed by the company was on duty when he received information on an alarm being activated,” he said.

When the security guard arrived, he found two people attempting to force the door open and managed to apprehend them.

Maphakela confirmed that it was discovered that one of the suspects was employed by the company. “Both suspects were arrested and detained at Sandton Police Station where they were charged with attempted business robbery,” he said.

Both have since appeared at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court. The case continues.
