“The whole thing is a big mess, there is water spilling everywhere and it has been that way for months now,” said an employee in the area who did not wish to be named.
He said Joburg Water had dug a hole to fix a burst pipe, but nothing was fixed.
Water is still being wasted and is running down the street and into the drains while the hole continues to fill up with water.
David Sibiya, spokesperson of Joburg Water said, “I was not aware of this, but I have forwarded this matter to the depot responsible for Wynberg.”
