Morningside resident takes part in Nissan Magic

MORNINGSIDE – The #NissanMagic campaign came to Sandton as TV personality and Morningside resident, Danine Naidoo, got a chance to be part of the initiative that is about doing good for others.

Naidoo was given a Nissan Duke as part of the automobile manufacture’s 12 influencers, 12 cars, 12 months campaign that encourages personalities to use their vehicles for acts of kindness.

Naidoo explained why she chose to take part in the campaign, saying it was a way to do good for others in some special way.

“Our lives get so crazy busy and we often carry every intention of doing good in some way, so when Nissan packaged their campaign… it was fab,” she said.

The socialite added that the campaign was also a great way to unite with fellow influencers and their charitable initiatives too.

Naidoo was given the vehicle for the month of August to use for social goodwill and she used it to collect formal dresses to be donated to The Princess Connection, an organisation she works with.

She explained that The Princess Connection was an initiative focused on making matric dances special for less fortunate girls by providing them with all the accessories and attire for the special night.

“I got to introduce Nissan to The Princess Connection and their amazing initiative, [and] we assisted at their pop-up matric store and at a rural school,” she said.

“It all happened so fast and was quite the task to assemble all the dresses… but all in all, I feel it was a great success.

“Hats off to any brand out there doing good, and I salute Nissan for allowing us the platform to collaborate and make a difference in our own little way.”
