Inspiration Indaba in Bryanston inspires success
BRYANSTON - Positive and moving stories were shared at a company’s Inspiration Indaba that took place at The Forum in Bryanston.
Citadel’s Inspiration Indaba is now in its second year and is designed as a platform to allow South Africans to be able to share their stories of inspiration about themselves, their businesses and their careers.
“Our intention was to create a space for rich dialogue to take place, and for Citadel to be the glue that binds the day together,” said Citadel CEO Andrew Möller.
“My personal highlight at the inaugural Inspiration Indaba was uncovering a number of stories that I was not even aware of and probably would never have heard about had it not been for the Inspiration Indaba itself.”
He explained that as wealth managers, the company helped clients discover the true worth of their wealth through character-rich dialogue and in-depth understanding. “The Inspiration Indaba is, therefore, an apt expression of our philosophy – we showcase the true worth and wealth of talent that exists in our country,” he added.
Those who shared their inspirational stories included Robert Brozin, the founder of global chicken empire Nandos; Ernst van Dyk, wheelchair Olympian and 10 times winner of the Boston Marathon; and Ludwick Marishane, inventor of DryBath, which is a product that has the potential to make a huge impact in rural areas.
“We acknowledge that there are many challenges that South Africans are currently facing, whether it be the Eskom debacle, our economic growth or job creation,” said Möller.
“It is, therefore, refreshing and encouraging to listen to stories that will help us renew our faith and make sense of our world.”
