Established by Claire Brown in 2005, the beautiful property is nestled neatly among the bustling atmosphere of the Sandton business district on Eighth Street in Parkmore.
Brown said the journey was amazing and she had been able to meet and socialise with some interesting people who have stayed at the guest house. The property went from being a cosy home for her family to being given a TripAdvisor Hall of Fame certificate, and finalist for the Sage One 702 Small Business Awards. The guest house has also been awarded a four-star rating by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa.
“We accommodate everyone and we’ve had some of the most interesting people walk through our doors. From business people who have taken a trip to Johannesburg or matric students who are doing their exams,” said Brown.
She recounted some of the wonderful experiences and personalities that the 2010 Fifa World Cup brought, adding that it was a great pleasure showing visitors a true South African experience.
