Dealing with the current heat wave

ROSEBANK – The South African Weather Services has issued a heat wave warning for Gauteng and other parts of the county.

Temperatures are expected to range between 31°C and 34°C for the rest of the week and no rainfall has been predicted for this period.

ER24 spokesperson, Chitra Bodasing, has urged Gauteng residents to be cautious.

“Heat exhaustion could lead to serious complications,” said Bodasing. “Severe heat exhaustion could lead to heat stroke for example and this could be life threatening.”

Monitor people who have these symptoms. Persisting symptoms should be taken seriously and medical assistance should be sought.
