This according to Lieutenant Colonel Andre de Klerk of Sandton police, who has warned fast-food outlet business owners, as well as their customers.
He said robberies have been reported at 24-hour fast-food outlets where pizza and burgers are sold, and where there is a drive-through facility.
“Residents must be vigilant when they are out at a fast-food outlet,” warned De Klerk.
He encouraged customers to make sure their vehicles are locked when and that fast-food business owners strengthen their security measures.
