Residents urged to look out for VW thieves in Illovo

ILLOVO - Following the recent theft of three VW cars in Illovo, Bramley police are urging Sandton residents to be on the lookout for a white Polo making the rounds.

According to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley police, the vehicles were stolen during July in different sections of the suburb. “It is alleged that three or four males are driving around in the Polo in Illovo and the surrounding areas and these men are suspected to be involved in the theft of the three vehicles,” he said.

Maphakela appealed to residents to inform the Bramley police Sector 3 and 4 managers should they spot the men in the car at any point.

Details: Warrant Officer Steve Puka (Sector 3 manager) 072 385 6499; Warrant Officer Abby Ramohlola (Sector 4 manager) on 073 787 1037.
