Two suspects walk away with jewellery and R1 000 in Parkmore

PARKMORE – A man was allegedly threatened with a firearm while parked on a driveway at his place of work on Lilian Avenue in Parkmore.

Lieutenant Colonel Andre de Klerk from the Sandton police said the victim was driving a Mercedes-Benz and was allegedly stopped outside of the gate on the driveway.

“A white Toyota Fortuner with an unknown registration plate stopped behind the Mercedes-Benz,” explained De Klerk.

“A suspect came out of the Toyota Fortuner and pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded jewellery.”

He said the other suspect went to the boot of the Mercedes-Benz and allegedly took a bag which contained R1 000 in cash and bank cards. “The suspects then climbed back into the Toyota Fortuner and drove off,” added De Klerk.

De Klerk said the victim was unable to identify the suspects.

No arrests have been made yet.
