Toast to new breakfast club

BRYANSTON - The Bryanston Toastmasters hosted a very special breakfast club on 11 July to welcome new members and to enjoy delicious breakfast treats.

The newly-formed Bryanston Toastmasters are part of a much bigger family of residents who wish to improve their confidence in public speaking in a safe environment. The Bryanston organisation meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month and calls on all local residents to join.

Arms for the Toastmasters Sergeant Paul McKinley said the breakfast club gives members, who are unable to attend sessions during the week, an opportunity to attend the helpful lessons.

Jack Hartmann, who has been a member of West Rand Toastmasters for 22 years, attended the event to show his support and said that the organisation’s meetings are a perfect way for people who have busy schedules to socialise and learn on a Saturday morning.

Hartmann, who started the original Saturday breakfast club, added that he is excited about the Bryanston Toastmasters’ initiative and said it is a great way of reaching out to the wider community.
