BRACe to host annual Mandela Day event at park

BUUCLEUCH - As residents and communities prepare for the upcoming Nelson Mandela Day next week, the Buccleuch Residents Action Community (BRACe) will once again host its annual Mandela Day event.

The exciting initiative will see the association, for the first time, partner with the Greater Alexandra Chamber of Commerce and Industry for a clean-up of the Jukskei River bank.

The event will take place at Bridge Road Park in Buccleuch on 18 July and will include fun activities and live entertainment from the likes of legendary singers Dorothy Masuku and Abigail Khubeka, which will make the day a memorable one for everyone.

The Village Safe Haven will also be present, collecting donations for the orphanage.

The Mandela Day event will begin at 10am and will run until 2pm, and community members are invited to bring a picnic blanket and watch the We are One concert set to also take place during the course of the day.
