Standing up for the animals at factory farms

HYDE PARK - Members of Compassion in World Farming South Africa held a demonstration on the corner of William Nicol Drive and Jan Smuts Avenue in Hyde Park for all the animals kept in factory farms.

About 50 people attended the demonstration to raise awareness about the conditions cattle, pigs and chickens live in on factory farms.

“We had an extremely positive response from the public,” said Janine Nash, a member of Compassion in World Farming South Africa.
