Junior College little ones collect Tekkie Tax

SUNNINGHILL - AS SOUTH Africans celebrated Tekkie Tax Day on 29 May, a national fundraising campaign for a group of welfare organisations in South Africa, Junior College Sunninghill pupils also played their part and showed their support.

The school encouraged their juniors’ to wear little tekkies ahead of the commemorative day.

Tabitha Carins, principal of Junior College Sunninghill, expressed happiness at the support from pupils and teachers for the fundraiser.

“Even though tekkies can be worn every day for these little ones, all [the] toddlers and teachers supported the cause; they all bought a sticker and wore it proudly,” she said.

Carins added that the college would continue to support this campaign in the years to come as their little ones love helping those in need.
