According to Wlighfe Mashaba, an eyewitness to the accident, the driver of the vehicle was approaching a curve in the road outside a complex on Dennis Road at high speed.

The driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the wall of the complex.
A security officer from the same security company as the driver, who had been on duty at the complex, helped the driver out of the vehicle.
Mashaba said the driver did not seem to have any injuries and the patrol vehicle was towed away.
