WATCH: Illuminati under the spotlight

FOURWAYS – HOW does the Illuminati work? “You sell your soul to the devil, our master, and then you’ll get anything you want.”

This is the eerie response you’d get from the other end of the line if you called the number on the Illuminati posters doing the rounds in Douglasdale and Lonehill and asked this question.

The middle-aged man would inform you that if you want to join you need to set up an appointment to meet them in Sandton where they would pick you up at a temple at an undisclosed location. Furthermore, you would need to take along six chicken eggs, six candles and R600 which you would need to pay towards getting your access card, as the temple is under strict security. If you at any point show signs of curiosity into who he is, you might be met with a “you can’t know about me because this is a secret society and you only know people inside when you are inside. Just call me Grant – the one who connects you to the spirits”.

Illuminati groups have been for a long time rumoured to conduct animal sacrifices to appease their master. To this the man said, “We do not sacrifice humans, we just sacrifice things like gorillas and cows, but it depends on what you want.”

During this phone call, the man keeps asking you when you are coming and the longer the conversation takes, the more agitated he becomes, ending with a quick “just call when you want us to fetch you”.

The Douglasdale Community Policing Forum have had problems with illegal posters and have appealed to the Metro police to assist in arresting the people putting them up.

Edna Mamonyane of Metro police said they take this crime seriously because some of these signs are placed on top of road signs and sometimes cause accidents. She said, however, that the culprits have come up with smarter tactics to elude them. She said they used to send undercover police, but now the suspects are more sceptical. She said, “It’s difficult to apprehend them now. But we are doing our best and our bylaw management unit goes out daily to make sure we keep our city’s streets clean.”
