Roads agency to look into issue on Halford Road

BRYANSTON - CONCERNED Bryanston residents will be a little relieved to know that the state of Halford Road has finally been brought to the Johannesburg Roads Agency's attention.

The state of deterioration on the road was noted by Ward 104 councillor Michael Wood, who pointed out that half the road had eroded for no explicable reason, while the remaining half of the road remains intact.

The roads agency responded that it was unaware of the deteriorating state and was thankful that the matter was brought to their attention.

“JRA will conduct an investigation into the condition of the road and determine the reasons for the erosion [and] we will revert back to you as soon as the investigations are complete,” JRA’s spokesperon Bertha Peters-Scheepers said.

The operations manager: marketing and communications also encouraged residents to report similar issues in their areas as well as any other road-related issues to the entity so they can effectively be dealt with.
