Mini delivers the goods

JOBURG - Mini Cooper proudly brought back Submerged Sundays, kicking off the event on Saturday at Zoo Lake in Joburg with Goldfish, before proceeding to Cape Town's Shimmy Beach Club.

Mini Cooper, 5fm and Redbull officially kicked off 2015’s Submerged Sunday’s tours with a two-day extravaganza that began at Zoo Lake in Joburg. The Saturday event was the precursor to the Sunday event held in Cape Town.

It was a hot day that had guests cowering for shady spots under the trees, but despite the heat, families showed up in large numbers to enjoy their Saturday filled with good food and music.

Among the many performers of the event were popular DJs from 5fm, Poppy Ntshongwana and DJ Fresh, and none other than Goldfish.

Goldfish had been tweeting just one day prior to the event that they were loving their time in Dubai, which had some fans concerned that they would not make the event in Joburg, but as professional as always, they landed in South Africa and moved promptly to the event.

Guests at the event were also offered an array of foods to choose from, including Smooch frozen yoghurt.

Goldfish, Poppy and Fresh made sure to interact with all their fans, young and old, by making their way through the crowd onto the stage.

It was an enjoyable day that was had by all and signified that Goldfish Submerged Sundays are back with a bang, and ready to deliver great music to the fans this year.
