WANTED: Police looking for missing R380k in Sandhurst

SANDHURST - The police are looking for two men suspected of being implicated in R380 000 that went missing from a home in Sandhurst.

Sandton police spokesperson,Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, said the two suspects, Felix Kwenda (36) and Emmanuel Kalua (25), are employees of the owner of the house. “Since the money has gone missing, they have been nowhere to be found, and have not been coming to work,” explained Maphakela.

He added that Kwenda was entrusted with the house keys and the responsibility of setting up the house alarm system, as he worked and lived on the premises. “Kalua was a part-time employee who was not at the house as regularly as Felix,” said Maphakela.

The two men both worked as gardeners for the home owner.

Maphakela said the money was stolen from inside a bag which was locked up in an office desk in one of the rooms in the house.

“Anyone with information about the missing money must contact the Detectives Constable Lungile Mbatha or Captain Edison Khalusi,” said Maphakela.
