Book helps entrepreneurs grow businesses

MORNINGSIDE - The book launch of businesswoman Shirley Anthony’s New Entrepreneur was held at Café Zing in The Regent.

The New Entrepreneur is targeted at both would-be entrepreneurs and business owners.

It is based on the experience of Anthony’s more than 20 years of managing her own marketing consultancy, and the insights from more than 50 interviews she conducted with other successful entrepreneurs such as Ludwick Marishane, the Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011. Andrew Golding, the chief executive officer of the Pam Golding Property Group also features in the book.

Speakers at the function included Peter Vundla, the co-founder of the first Black South African advertising agency, Herdbuoys, Cecilia Andrews, faculty head at the AAA School of Advertising, and Trisch Rosema of PinkDrive as some of the proceeds from the sale of the book are being donated to the non-profit organisation.

Kevin Palmer, the general manager at Nedbank was the master of ceremonies at the launch.

The New Entrepreneur promises readers the following:

• Evaluate their business idea without spending money.

• Draft a business plan while marketing the product.
