Stage 2 load shedding from 4pm to 10pm today

JOBURG – Another series of load shedding will be implemented from 4pm to 10pm today.

The company sated on their twitter handle, Eskom Hld SOC Ltd @Eskom_SA, “Eskom regrets to announce that stage 2 load shedding will be implemented today.”

The company’s media desk also stated that as the power system is constrained and vulnerable, any unexpected changes could lead to a change in the load-shedding stage at short notice.

Meanwhile, earlier to Eskom announced that the load-shedding prognosis for today remained high and was dependent on the performance of the power plant.

The media desk advised customers who want to be informed about load shedding that the status of the power system can be monitored in the following ways:

Information on the power system will be shared in the media.

  • Watch out for the Power Alerts and Eskom Power Bulletin broadcasts after the SABC news in the evenings: The power bulletin is flighted on SABC TV immediately after the news, starting with the 5.30pm news bulletin through to the 7.30pm bulletin. The announcements, which follow the weather forecast, will run for 60 seconds on all three SABC TV channels (Monday to Friday) until the end of the year.
  • Radio announcements will run three times a day, morning, midday and afternoon.
  • Eskom customers are advised to check the load-shedding schedules which are available on the Eskom website.
  • Municipal customers were urged to contact their local authorities.
