The biggest craft beer festival to hit SA

JOBURG - With less than 10 days to go until the SA on Tap Craft Beer Festival, there are a few things you should know about what makes this beer festival different from any other.

Tops at Spar is bringing you a beer experience unlike any other, with a beer selection including 150 of South Africa’s best, some proudly South African music and even classes to help you appreciate beer like never before.

The festivals event director, Gavin Kearns explained that this festival had been made different by offering guests the chance to meet and greet the brewers of the various types of beers.

“This festival is unique because the brewers will be present so that they can answer questions and find out what people think of the beer,” said Kearns.

There will also be beer appreciation classes offered at the festival that will turn you from ‘beer-ginner’ to beer connoisseur in a matter of 45 minutes.

“The beer appreciation classes are another differentiating factor between this festival and others, and is one of the first of its kind in South Africa,” he said. “We noticed that there is a gap in the market for beer lovers and people who can actually taste the different flavours and appreciate the tastes.”

Not only will festival-goers enjoy the tastes of the beers, ciders, whisky’s and wines, but also the sounds of Gangs of Ballet and Monark.

With so much on offer, there’s no way that you can miss this event that will be taking place at the Old Parks Sports Club on Jan Smuts Avenue on 28 March.
