VIDEO: Minefield on Ballyclare Drive
BRYANSTON - Following a tweet from a concerned resident regarding numerous potholes on Ballyclare Drive in Bryanston, Sandton Chronicle investigated by taking a drive on the road.
The potholes in question are located at the bottom of Ballyclare Drive next to the bridge which runs over the Braamfontein Spruit.
It was apparent that motorists who use the road are forced to drive around the potholes causing oncoming traffic to slow down, or drive through the potholes which could damage motorists’ vehicles.
Johannesburg Roads Agency spokesperson Bertha Peters-Scheepers said the agency was fully aware of the situation on Ballyclare Drive.
“We have escalated the matter to the regional operations manager,” she said.
