Wynberg business owner loses stock worth R16 700

WYNBERG - A business owner had stock worth R16 700 stolen from his warehouse.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, the Bramley police spokesperson, said the business owner alleged that his windows were smashed, R3 500 in cash was stolen and various items which include two welders and four grinders were taken.

“Doors and windows were locked when he closed up the shop the night before,” said Maphakela.

He also said the stolen items were not insured and there was no CCTV footage available.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is pending.

“Business owners in the area must make sure that they have tight security for their business premises at all times,” added Maphakela.
